Happy New Year...

I know I'm a little late for this particular salutation but 2022 came at me like a very grumpy lion that got left out in a cold fall rainstorm. I had to do some remixing, a little re-manage, and smooth out the bumps in the road, but, as James Brown said, I'M BACK!

And....I've been working on putting this shiny new website together....AND...I'm really SUPER excited about these new sessions I'm offering, but I'll get to that in a minute.

First, a quick update.

The past few years have been hard for everyone and as a small business person of one, it was difficult at times, but there was also some good things that happened. I got to spend a lot of time with my daughter, which was pretty wonderful. There were opportunities that I never would have had to reflect on, the simple and basic things around me and one of those things was how, as a photographer, would I go forward in the next ten years. As someone who lives in the moment and likes it here, this was a big thing! I found myself looking back, back to the days in college, where I photographed a lot of portraits of people. I won't get into the weeds with this, but the outcome was fairly straightforward and undeniable. I love photographing people, all types of people and not that this was a big revelation, because it wasn't. What it WAS, was a reminder that as much as I love events and that magical energy, maybe it was time to focus on more of the individual/couples of humans rather than them in mass.

And so, here I am, doing things a little differently than I did on the past. Besides this new and exciting adventure, I've decided to focus on Intimate Weddings and Family sessions. Newborns and Senior Sessions also. I'm still going to do my commercial work as I love that too, but I'm going to shift gears a little and it feels like the right thing to do going forward.

There are many other factors involved also, personal ones that I'll keep that way but none of this changes how much I love photography. I found my love of photography at the age of sixteen and it's never waned, Long before digital cameras and home computers, I was loading film, 24 or 36 exposures at a time, and going into the darkroom to print. I spent 5 years in college majoring in photography and to do this full time and support myself and may family is still astounding to me. I am grateful to be here and to have shared my love of this medium with all those wonderful people I've photographed over the years.

Now...

That being said.

I would like to talk about these new photography sessions I'm offering this year!

I'm still not 100% sure of what to call these, so for now, it has landed under the heading of Intimate Photography Sessions. These are more stylized and detailed sessions that are about the individual/couple that wants something different.

These take anywhere from 3-4 hours, multiple outfit changes, and locations if so desired. I have no concrete plan as I feel these are a collaborative work and I am always up for an adventure!

I offer styling assistance and have some pieces available to borrow and a few fabulous dresses to rent. I also have a list of locations and am open to anyplace you would like to explore.

The final products are: an 8x8 custom hardbound book, all the final photographs printed 4x6 with a custom red velvet keepsake box, and an elegant USB drive with all the final photos.

The session also comes with a print release.

Again, these sessions are open to everyone! Please contact me if you are interested in booking a session or have any questions. I'll be happy to provide more information!

Bon Hiver! See you all in the spring!
